What drew you to study the Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing?

"Every unit aligned with my interests, and I felt excited to begin."

From a young age, I have always been interested in personal growth, particularly meaning and goals. As I grew older, I found myself drawn to positive psychology, especially the areas of meaning and purpose. When I began working as a Student Experience Officer at a Business School, I knew I wanted to bring more of this passion into my role and also deepen my own understanding of meaning and purpose in my life.

That’s when I came across the Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. As soon as I read the course outline, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.

How was your experience studying this course? "I was completely engaged in the content and loved working through the assessments."

Completing the Diploma was an amazing journey. The highlight for me was the Positive Meaning unit. Learning about meaning theories and completing the acts of kindness assessments was incredibly enjoyable. In fact, the day I ran this activity at work is one of the most fulfilling days of my professional life.

I also really loved the Positive Engagement unit. The Strengths Profile has been such a valuable resource. I still use it regularly to reflect on my strengths and to find ways to better apply my unrealised strengths in my work.

How has the Diploma helped you spread positive ripples in your world?

"Seeing their reactions, both receiving and giving kindness and witnessing how it made them feel was truly beautiful."

In my current role, I’ve been fortunate to run a variety of wellbeing initiatives where I have been able to apply what I learned in the Diploma. One example was hosting a wellbeing stand for higher education students, which included fun, interactive activities like a spin-the-wheel game that encouraged students to complete small wellbeing actions.

I have also supported team wellbeing by helping colleagues identify and apply their strengths in the workplace. One of my favourite experiences, though, was running acts of kindness activities with students. Seeing their reactions, both receiving and giving kindness and witnessing how it made them feel was truly beautiful.

Looking ahead to 2026, I plan to create a wellbeing calendar for both students and the team, with a different wellbeing focus each month, so that wellbeing becomes a consistent part of everyday life and supports everyone to thrive and flourish.

The Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing has had a positive impact on both my personal and professional life. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have completed this course and for the incredible support from the re:cognition team.

"I truly cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are considering whether to enrol, take this as your sign to go for it. ⭐"
